After more than two decades of service under Survey Research Lanka, SRL Media Innovations (Private) Limited was established in 2024 to exclusively focus on developing innovative media research solutions aimed at competing in the global market.

MICOS – A DECADE OLD DREAM

MICOS was conceived at a time when the credibility of television audience measurement systems was under constant scrutiny. While face-recognition technology showed great promise, developing a robust and mature target operating model demanded significant dedication, innovation, and collaboration.

Face Recognition

Face recognition is widely adopted in security-critical applications worldwide, with virtually no chance of an individual’s identity being falsified. For a panelist’s presence to be recorded, they must be seated in front of the television and facing its direction.

PARTICIPANTS’ PRIVACY

Our proprietary algorithms ensure that no photos are ever transferred to the server. Each participant is thoroughly educated on the process, given a live demonstration, and their acknowledgment is obtained before joining the panel.
